2018 January 31-February 1: Blue Career Days in Bulgaria, Varna

The 1st Blue Career Days in Bulgaria are organized by Marine Cluster Bulgaria in Younashki Saloon, Varna. High school students as well as students from the Naval Academy and the Technical University of Varna participated in the first day of the event. Mrs. Ilze Atanasova (MCB) along with local authorities greeted the participants in the opening ceremony. Two special panels followed: (1) Maritime Transport/Shipping, Shipbuilding and Ship Repair, Ports and Logistics and (2) Aquaculture, in which experts presented their views and shared their experiences. Professor Nikolaos Ventikos (NTUA) participated in Panel 1, while Professor Eleanna Miliou (AUA) and Dr. George Triantaphyllidis (MARINEM) participated in Panel 2. Panels 3 and 4, scheduled for tomorrow, are devoted to Cruise Tourism and Offshore Oil and Gas, respectively. Professor Nikolaos Ventikos (NTUA) will also participate in the latter. During both days the students are also encouraged to meet and interact with local companies and educational institutions participating in the Fair.
