T3.1 Organising Mobility for Blue Sector Courses (Start: M3, End: M23)
Leader: AUA Contributors: All Partners
One of the main goals of this project is to overcome the barriers of sharing knowledge and expertise (know-how) between different sectors of the blue economy, i.e. shipping, cruise tourism, offshore oil & gas and aquaculture. This task will identify the necessary critical career skills for professionals in the blue economy and provide accessible pathways for facilitating career advancement and job mobility. Another objective of this Task will be to promote female representation in the blue economy.
T3.2: Development of a cooperative network of training institutions (Start: M3, End: M23)
Leader: AUA Contributors: All Partners
The main objective of this Task is to develop a cooperative cluster of knowledge, in the form of a cooperative platform, between different training institutions. The developed platform could also give students the possibility to access courses and educational material from a multitude of different training centres. Another function of this network would be the cooperative development of common training standards between different training institutions, for example by identifying commonly used career skills that are necessary for blue professionals, as identified in Task 3.1.
T3.3: Promote the mobility of students and staff within the region (Start: M3, End: M23)
Leader: AUA Contributors: All Partners
The main goal of mobility of students and staff within the region is to share experience among different aspects of the blue economy. In coordination with Task 3.1, this Task will promote the mobility of students and blue professionals not only between different regional areas but also between the different sectors of the blue economy (selected MEAs). A program based on experience gained through ERASMUS projects will support students to travel and work as interns in different occupations. In particular, the objective of this Task is to promote the mobility of 30 students and 6 staff within the region.
T3.4: Work towards the harmonisation of requirements for maritime professional training focusing on practice (Start: M3, End: M23
Leader: NTUA Contributors: Mar.In.E.M., CCCI, MCB, CMU
The training centre will deliver training courses for different groups of trainees including students and young people, professionals with a vocational/technical background for retraining or improving skills, as well as currently employed professionals in the maritime sector that would like to progress their career and increase their mobility in other maritime jobs. This task aims to provide a set of harmonized requirements for maritime professionals and will utilize input from the cooperative network developed in Task 3.2. In order to increase its impact, the training requirements will mainly be self- and problem-centered and designed in a manner that gives the opportunity to each individual trainee to be involved in the planning and the evaluation/assessment of the training scheme.
